Entry 3: Fertilizer and Weeding
This week,
05/27/2025: In preparation for the oncoming rain, the day was spent applying Nitrogen to every field. Each tree required different measurements, and the nitrogen was spread three to four inches away from the trunk. We were careful to avoid sprinkling the fertilizer on the leaves as this can burn the leaves when diluting in the rain.
Due to unstable weather conditions, most of the week was spent weeding and maintaining the greenhouse.
Morning Glory in particular is a weed we were careful to pick from each fields. If left unchecked, Morning Glory has a tendency to wrap around the trunks and branches of trees and overthrow them by strangling new growth.
Morning Glory
See you next week🌳
